The
Diamonds Council Property Committee has worked very hard over the last two
years to develop a three-year plan for council properties, and we're getting
started right away! If you'd like to see the plan, please click here.
Meanwhile,
we're also going to begin in February on our next Long Range Property
Plan! The first step will be to recruit people from around the council to
be on one of three research groups: the Market Research Group, the Program
Research Group, and the Property Research Group. Below, you'll find a
committee charge for each group, the kinds of backgrounds people should have,
and the characteristics of people who would be a part of the groups.
Following
an orientation and training from our GSUSA National Staff in February, the
Research groups will work to gather data. We anticipate their work
lasting for about a year. They will give their findings to the Property
Committee, who will then study the information and create a detailed plan that
will eventually be submitted to the board. The whole process to create a
new Long Range Property Plan (LRPP) will last for about three years, so we
should have it completed just in time for our current plan to be finished.
If
you would like to be considered for a position on one of the research groups,
or if you know a community leader who would be a good candidate, please
complete the application form or contact Priscilla Merriman at pmerriman@girlscoutsdiamonds.org or
by the council at 800-632-6894.
