There is no better way to get the whole family involved in improving our properties than to volunteer for a Camp Workday! We're looking for volunteers of any age and any skill level to help prepare the properties for winter - sweeping, cleaning, burning leaves, painting and carpentry work, just to name a few tasks to be completed. If you can't join us for an "official" workday but would like to help, call Rory Lane to schedule your own workday.

The Diamonds' Rangers will work with each group to make the best match of workers' skills and tasks to be done.

If you'd like to come the night before or stay the night after (or both!) using the accomodations at the property, just let Rory know and he will make it happen!

Come ready for work and have fun, too! Council will provide water for all workers. As a token of our appreciation, join us for an old-fashioned hot-dog cookout. We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to serve!

Dates*:    Saturday, October 27 - Camp High Point

               Saturday, November 3 - Camps Cahinnio, Crossed Arrows, NOARK and Taloha     

*After Fall 2012, all camps will have annual workdays scheduled for the first weekends in March and November.

Time:     9:00am - 4:00pm

Fee: FREE!!!

Special Notes:

1) Bring any tools that might be useful (work gloves, paint brushes, chainsaw, brooms, hammers, saws, etc)

2) If you wish to contribute building materials, please contact Rory Layne beforehand and he will let you know of immediate needs for each property

3) Dress to get messy!!

4) Be advised that Council will provide only one meal at the end of the workday (approximately 4:00pm). Individuals/groups may bring their own food/snacks to hold them over until the cookout
