Each award requires a completed nomination form and two or more endorsements. Each award has specific criteria. Traditionally, the endorsements have been letters but there are several new options for supporting a nomination - letters of endorsement may still be submitted, but we also encourage new methods such as video nominations to give girls and volunteers the opportunity to recognize their leaders in an exciting way!
Nominations should be sent in along with a photograph (if possible) which will be shown at the recognitions ceremony.
The Diamonds Council will provide pins for 25 years and above. Pins for less than 25 years should be purchased by the Service Unit through the Council Shop.
The numerals show the total number of years (not necessarily continuous or consecutive) of registered membership, both as a girl and an adult, in any Girl Scout/Girl Guide organization. Numeral Guards are available in increments of 5 years. The Diamonds Council will provide Numeral Guards for 25 years and above.
*** Please note *** The Numeral Guard description located in the form is incorrect - this award is for GIRL AND ADULT years.
