LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas is teaming up with restaurants and chefs throughout Arkansas to create hand-crafted desserts featuring Girl Scout cookies during the Second Annual Girl Scout Cookie Restaurant Week, to be held April 4-10, 2016. Patrons can, for a limited time, enjoy their favorite Girl Scout Cookies creatively transformed into mouth-watering desserts by local restaurants throughout the state.
“We could not be more excited to bring Girl Scout Cookie Restaurant Week to Girl Scout Cookie lovers statewide this year,” says Candace Weekley, Girl Scouts – Diamonds chief business development officer. “Building partnerships with local businesses is very important to our organization, and we are grateful for those who share our goal of empowering girls and supporting their future through cookie sales.”
Each partnered restaurant will feature a special dessert, inspired by a unique iconic cookie. Due to the success of the inaugural Girl Scout Cookie Restaurant Week in central Arkansas, the 2016 program has expanded throughout the entire state of Arkansas. Chef Shuttle, a Girl Scouts-Diamonds community partner, is delivering these special treats from Khana Indian Grill, Kirby’s Kupcakes and Purple Cow straight to customers’ homes and offices. Starting Thursday, March 31, Chef Shuttle will also provide same-day Girl Scout cookie delivery in central and northwest Arkansas.
“Chef Shuttle is proud to partner with Girl Scouts – Diamonds on its second annual Girl Scout Restaurant Week,” said Ryan Herget, president and CEO of Chef Shuttle. “We’re thrilled to offer delivery of these limited edition desserts, as well as same-day cookie delivery, to our customers.”
